Constance Miles, LM, CPM, RN 707-874-2888 Providing homebirth services & hospital support in Sonoma and neighboring counties since 1982. I delivered my four daughters at home, and assisted my eldest daughter as she delivered her four at home, as well. Birth is sacred. It is always an honor to share the journey.
O'Nell Starkey, Apprentice Midwife 707-535-9309 My passion is providing education, support, and care for families during the perinatal period. My background is in holistic early childhood education and I am a certified Infant Massage Instructor and have trained as a Lactation Specialist. I am a student with the National Midwifery Institute and have attended many births with midwives in birth centers in Bali and Mexico. I am currently apprenticing with Constance Miles. 707-829-3134 I went to my first birth in 2003 and was so moved that I enrolled in a doula training that weekend. This training led me to study midwifery. As a midwife and doula, I have attended births with a diverse population of women, including volunteering as a midwife in the Philippines. I bring insight into how culture, emotions, and the mind/body connection can shape a woman's experience of birth. I am committed to empowering parents with prenatal education and informed consent, believing that the parents often know what is best for their baby and family. Serena Russell, Midwife 707-484-3403 I became inspired to be with birth after the home birth of my daughter 15 years ago. Since then I've apprenticed with traditional midwives in Tennessee, Arizona, and California and attended births at a birth center in Jamaica. I trust in a woman's process in harmony with her baby to know how to birth. I consider it a gift to facilitate this process. AManda `Etain Adamah 707-829-3045 I am a homebirth midwife living in Sebastopol. I trained in homebirth apprenticeship locally as well as in a high volume birth center. I did my academic studies with The National Midwifery Institute. 707-293-6612 The essence of midwifery for me is being humble, staying in the moment and paying attention. I believe that my role as a homebirth midwife is to hold space the the gentle passage of birth. I have been doing birth work for 13 years and have studied in many different settings, including a Jamaican hospital, a busy birth center in El Paso, TX, a homebirth apprenticeship, as well as the homebirth of my son, Ayden Creek. |
